With a clientele consisting of smaller businesses, healthcare facilities, senior dining centers, colleges and correctional facilities in the South, Valley Services was one of the contract foodservice industry’s biggest regional firms. Their desire was to emerge onto the national scene. Godwin’s role was to help them achieve this growth.
ACTION: To put Valley on the fast-track for growth, GodwinGroup created an integrated marketing and public relations campaign. C3 Intelligence™ research helped determine the strengths and weaknesses of the brand. Opportunities and areas for potential growth were then identified, and marketing materials were customized to speak specifically to audiences in those key areas: business and industry, and healthcare. These materials included sales kits, CD-ROMs, trade ads, Web strategies and media kits for shows and public relations efforts.
REACTION: Valley earned front page coverage in Food Management magazine with a lead feature on their recent contract with the largest Nissan assembly plant in the South. Thanks to this and other account wins in the public and private arenas, Valley won national recognition for having the industry’s most robust growth rates in recent memory. Valley is now one of the largest independent broad-market contract management firms in the country outside of the Big Three.
